Big Bootie Land Boston

In 2022, famous Los Angeles DJ duo known as “Two Friends” hired BEG to help them produce their first-ever " Big Bootie Land" concert. The show and experience were named aptly for their cult-followed "Big Bootie Mixes," which the duo has released twice a year for nearly ten years.

At the new MGM Music Hall (connected to Fenway Park in Boston), BEG helped the DJs bring their brand to life. The Big Bootie Mixes were built around a storyline that included four characters, that were introduced to consumers for the first time at Big Bootie Land by way of life-size mascots, 10- foot inflatables, custom banners, digital content, and more.

We fabricated multiple branded photo moments, hired caricature artists to draw guests' faces on Big Bootie Man's body, staffed all activations, assisted with sponsor build outs and even created the first-ever Big Bootie Land passports. This inaugural event was a two-night sold out fan experience in Boston and repeated in Chicago in June 2023!

Thank you so much for everything. We truly couldn’t have done this without you… like at all. You both are truly rockstars and can accomplish the impossible. Looking forward to the next one in Chicago! -Bradan Liberty, Two Friends Manager

Thank you guys so much for all of the love, effort and hustle you put into this event. It would not be Big Bootie Land without BEG. Excited for the next one and we will absolutely be singing your praises to all of our partners who are looking for a badass company to produce their events. -James Ahern, Two Friends Record Label

CORPORATE RETREAT

superdigital

In November 2023, we orchestrated a spectacular three-day offsite in Santa Fe, New Mexico, for the Superdigital team, marking their remarkable ten years in business. Opting for the unconventional allure of "The City Different," we curated an exclusive experience fostering team bonding and rejuvenation.

BEG coordinated travel for the Superdigital team of 34 from both national and international locations, who all got to enjoy a stay at the Eldorado Hotel & Spa in the heart of downtown Santa Fe. Seamless airport transfers ensured a hassle-free arrival, complemented by curated swag bags. The welcome reception unfolded at The High Desert Cafe, featuring local Latino musicians, a Día de Muertos ambiance, a family style meal and an open bar.

Day two commenced with an opulent breakfast in the hotel ballroom, featuring oracle cards and an aura photographer. A DiSC assessment session, exploring natural, hard-wired behavioral styles in a work setting, enhanced teamwork. A coach bus transported the group to Meow Wolf's House of Eternal Return, an immersive art experience, for an afternoon of play and exploration.

The trip culminated in a fine experience at Sazón, which specializes in traditional Mexican cuisine and included a synchronized last bite! After dinner, the group was transported to a ranch for an astronomy experience with local, award-winning astrophotographers.

Our favorite unique touch? The client had us put together a Santa Fe Cultural Info + Facts postcard and a Santa Fe Attractions Guide for those extending their stay to explore the area. This offsite celebrated a decade of Superdigital success with strategic planning, immersive experiences, and lasting memories for all!

Brand Activation

Edrington Americas

In the Fall of 2022, BEG had the privilege of being hired to orchestrate an unforgettable evening of mini brand activations in collaboration with Edrington Americas Portfolio.

From the exquisite Gin No3 to the renowned Macallen,Noble Oak among other brands, our team meticulously crafted mini moments throughout the stunning Artists for Humanity space in South Boston.

This enchanting event was exclusively curated for wholesalers and the Edrington internal sales team, aimed at igniting their excitement for the upcoming OND programming. Through a range of custom bars and interactive activities, accompanied by tailored food pairings and craft cocktail activations, we successfully accomplished all brand KPIs while uplifting the spirits of all who attended.. The night was an immense success, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees.

I wanted to extend a BIG THANK YOU to you and your team for helping to bring to life what we thought a highly successful, immersive and fun event! We really nailed everything we envisioned and wanted to accomplish. More importantly, we received excellent feedback from our distributor partner attendees! Can truly say we wouldn't have changed much - and that's saying a lot as our MO is always about 'how to make it better next time'.

Brand Activation

ATHLETIC BREWING COMPANY

In July of 2021, after a year devoid of brand activations, sponsorships and pop-ups, BEG hit the ground running, launching “Athletic Bar Austin” for CT based craft brewery, Athletic Brewing Co.

BEG was brought in just after Athletic had secured a space for a branded pop-up and didn’t know what to do next. After deciding to make the space half fitness studio/ half bar, BEG swooped in.

We not only sourced the build out partner but acted as GM throughout the entire process- from the renderings to the final build out, we directed the process along the way. We were also responsible for sourcing and hiring local staff, implementing a local marketing strategy to get customers through the door and physically managed the space for six weeks. Our team acted as bar GMs, instructor liaisons, on-site brand representation and more. The pop-up saw great success, selling out over 90% of the classes and driving sampling of over 1,700 consumers.

From space ideation to conception to execution, BEG was able to help the client host their first branded pop-up and break their way into an important market by creating long lasting consumer impressions.

AdWeek picked up on the installation here.

Sophia and Lindsay were the perfect partners to help our team go from an idea to reality! From their strategic consulting to the extremely detailed execution, they were integral to the success of Athletic Brewing’s first major experiential pop-up. The BEG team navigated through changing COVID regulations to permit and design a custom branded experience from scratch (seriously: they transformed an empty warehouse into an inviting bar and work-out space… no small task!) They managed a multi-person team to staff the event over four weeks, assisted with influencer and promotional marketing, and handled all logistics from build out to break down like absolute pros. Consumer feedback on the Athletic Bar was overwhelmingly positive (just like their attitudes!) and we surpassed internal KPIs for the program. I highly recommend working with the friendly and talented team at BEG for any of your experiential needs!

Brand Activation

INSA Cannabis

In October of 2021, BEG was hired by Sullivan Marketing & Communications to develop and execute a brand activation for Cannabis retailer, INSA. INSA’s goal was to drive incremental foot traffic to their Salem location during the month of October. With Salem having obviously ties to “Witch History” in America, it was natural to plan a Halloween installation. BEG presented multiple concepts and ultimately turned the Salem store into a “Forbidden Forest”. BEG transformed the 4,500 square foot space (both interior and exterior) for an entire month, increasing foot traffic and driving incremental sales.

BRAND ACTIVATION

P&G / FIRST AID BEAUTY

Boston-based First Aid Beauty (acquired by P&G Beauty in 2018) hired BEG to create a branded space for an important day-long sales meeting. Where they were welcoming key retailers from around the world, it was important to create a fully immersive brand experience to make each guest feel like they were stepping into the FAB world.

BEG worked with P&G’s creative team to imagine what it could look like, secured a fabrication partner, and brought in florals to bring this branded experience to life. BEG completely transformed a hotel ballroom by creating a custom 16-foot table in their brand PMS color for all to gather around, along with 10-foot high printed walls (creating a room within the room), and brought in other design elements to feature their product. Full project management for P&G included budget and timeline oversight, sourcing furniture and decor, as well as collaboration with hotel partners, ensuring a smooth and successful day of meetings.

I had the pleasure of working with Sophia, Lindsay and the BEG team on two amazing events (with more to follow!). My team and I were beyond impressed with the creativity, execution and dedication of BEG. The first event that we partnered with BEG on was a presentation to external partners, where we completely transformed a conference room into a fully branded immersive experience. Working with the BEG team was seamless, despite pulling together such a large-scale experience in a limited amount of time. The team thought of every last detail, and we were so thrilled with the result that we partnered with BEG for a second event shortly thereafter. This time, BEG built a disco-themed holiday party of our dreams, again with careful attention to detail and incredibly positive energy. Though the scope of each event was quite different, BEG nailed every single element. I highly recommend Sophia, Lindsay and the BEG team for any and every event, and look forward to partnering with them for many more to come!

Mobile Brand Activation

BRAND ACTIVATION

SCHMOOZE

Schmooze, a meme-based dating app headquartered in California, came to BEG for help with their first activation in the Boston market. They knew they wanted to activate across multiple college campuses and with their small, but nimble team, would need to hire brand ambassadors to help staff the activation and spread the word. Activating outside presents some unique hurdles (think permitting and weather!), but we were able to dream up the perfect solution, branded tricycles. The tricycles were the best engagement tool to capture the attention of students walking by and allowed Schmooze to drive brand awareness and increase app downloads. BEG was responsible for designing the solution, sourcing the fabrication partner, hiring, and training brand ambassadors and acting as project manager as schedules changed on the fly! The biggest takeaways for the Schmooze team centered around their future activations by way of display options (fixed vs mobile), featuring their merchandise for sale, and considering different venues for activations (like festivals with their target demographic).

Corporate Launch Party

DRUMI

The DRUMI launch party wasn’t just an opportunity for BEG to introduce the new mattress brand to the world; it was also a chance to support multiple non-profits. Hosted by the Artists for Humanity Center, an art gallery run by teens, part of the events proceeds went to marine conservation efforts; fitting as BEG’s goal was to create a beach getaway in the middle of a New England winter.

Working with TANK, the design agency behind DRUMI’s tropical-inspired branding, we wanted to create an event that would create the same feelings of rest and relaxation that one would get from using our client’s mattress. Following an immersive yoga experience, guests could enjoy a semi-heated space, slightly scented with balmy ocean scents and decorated with palm trees. Local liquor donations came in for the cause. For this event we coordinated everything from finding the venue, setting up the lighting, finding a yoga instructor and setting the ticketing system.

Sophia and her team helped us curate a one-of-a-kind yoga experience...from the decor, to securing the venue, to catering and entertainment, she managed it all. Sophia was always available to meet in person and very responsive through phone and email. During the day of the event, she was present at the site the entire time...Sophia is a very positive, organized and detail oriented person and we are truly grateful for her team’s support. We wouldn’t have been able to execute such a successful event without her!

Sponsorship Strategy & Brand Activation

BACK BAY ROASTERS

BEG worked with Back Bay Roasters, a cold brew coffee company based in Boston, on a year long sponsorship strategy. We sponsored 34 events throughout New England, kicking it off at the Figawi Race Weekend in Nantucket over Memorial Day weekend.

Thousands of sailors converged on Cape Cod to race from Hyannis to Nantucket, where revelers awaited their arrival for a weekend of sailing-themed soirées. We knew that the beginning of the summer social season, paired with sought-after Nantucket location, would drive Back Bay Roasters target audience out in droves.

BEG helped Back Bay Roasters take the island by storm, offering a sample bottle for an Instagram follow or mention. Nearly 2,000 samples were given out, which helped Back Bay Roasters reach 10,000 people on Instagram; a 96% increase in followers. On Sunday morning, Back Bay Roasters and BEG helped attendees get the spring back in their step with coffee cocktails in the official race weekend tent.

It wasn’t all fun in the sun! Before any sails were hoisted, BEG helped identify the event and the sponsorship opportunity, negotiated the contract, built out Back Bay Roaster’s booth for the tent, designed and printed takeaway cards and posters to boost awareness, and orchestrated an Instagram contest that awarded its winner free cold brew for year and a trip back to Nantucket.

This full-service, bow-to-stern brand activation netted Back Bay Roasters 9,960 consumers reached on Instagram, 1,890 consumers sampled at an estimated value of $5 each, 214 interactions on a promoted Instagram post, 35 new followers and 20 contest entries.

Corporate Event

BROADWAY RESTAURANT GROUP HOLIDAY PARTY

Broadway Restaurant Group wanted to throw a party in honor the staff of all ten of their restaurants, in style. The result was a four hundred-fifty guest bash, with a 1920’s theme on one level and 2020 on the other. Dressed to the nines, party-goers enjoyed all the vendors and entertainment coordinated by BEG. A raw bar could be purused while enjoying the 20-piece band or two DJ’s. Seven drag queens and two flapper stilt walkers mingled with the crowd, blending with the themed-decor and lighting installations managed by our team. Of course, no 1920’s party is complete without champagne. For this celebration, not only were we able to get a full-donation of bubbly from Korvel, but we had it served by aerialists hanging from the ceiling. Roaring twenties indeed.

Sponsorship Sales & Event Production

THE SWEAT CONCIERGE

The team at The Sweat Concierge brought BEG on to sell sponsorships, as well as produce three Sweat Con Rally events in DC, Boston and San Francisco. Each event had roughly 500 guests who gathered for a pre-party to socialize and interface with some of their favorite health and wellness brands. From DJs to Braid Bars to Photo booths, the kick-off party was not one to miss. BEG helped with sponsorship outreach, vendor and venue coordination, customer service efforts, on site set up and break down. Afterwards, our guests broke into groups designated by neighborhood to experience three workout classes at varying fitness studios.

NON-PROFIT PARTNERSHIP

COMMUNITY SERVINGS

When Boston-based non-profit, Community Servings was forced to reimagine their annual fundraising gala (LifeSavor: dubbed “Boston’s Best Dinner Party with a Conscience,” that brings together Boston’s best chefs and restaurants together to raise money to provide nutritious meals to homebound critically ill individuals and their families) during the pandemic, they pivoted to a virtual gala, called LifeSavor Thursdays.

More than 90 cents of every dollar raised at LifeSavor will provide nutritious, home-delivered meals to our neighbors living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, heart disease, and other life-threatening illnesses so continuing the LifeSavor event was paramount to their fundraising efforts.

They hired BEG to help coordinate partnering with local restaurants to deliver ingredients in branded bags along with collateral, to their sponsors across Massachusetts, ensuring smooth, timely deliveries for 10 consecutive weeks. Each delivered meal was led by a live cooking demonstration from the featured restaurant and head Chef, to provide an elevated experience. BEG helped Community Servings continue their LifeSavor fundraising efforts, delivering over 250 meals to 10 of their key sponsors for 10 weeks, ensuring continuity of their fundraising efforts.

Sophia and her team at BEG have helped us coordinate events in a virtual world since 2020.  They are so wonderful to work with and are willing to take on the tricky logistics to make the events go as smoothly as possible.  They have helped us with ordering supplies, packaging gifts, hiring delivery drivers, scheduling and routing deliveries to accompany our virtual events for our donors.  Each event we have partnered on has been a tremendous success.

FLOR DE CANA

BEG threw a Pop-Up Floating Tiki Party on the Boston Harbor, sponsored by Flor De Cana Rum. We took 60 guests out on a three-hour tiki-cruise with signature Flor De Cana cocktails, copious amounts of oysters, food from Perfect Strangers Catering and entertainment from DJ Brien Micelli. We danced under draping palm leaves, ate oysters served out of inflatable palm trees and drank rum punch out of branded, adult juice boxes.

Pop-Up Party

BULLY BOY DISTILLERS

BEG threw a pop-up dinner in the beautiful barrel room at Bully Boy Distillers. We had 30 guests come to the Distillery for a 5-course “Snowed-In” Cabin theme dinner. From hundreds of snowflakes hanging from the ceiling, to over 100 candles on the tables, to fresh fir runners and acorn accents, the decor reflected a true winter escape. We worked with talented Chef, Tim Chatigny, to create five holiday thematic dishes including “lumps of coal” (aka filet wrapped in edible paper), oysters served on beds of pine needles, to CBD cookies served on personal size sleds. Each course was perfectly paired with a delicious craft cocktail.
